What is beauty about? Why are people insecure about their body? What is the role of society and media here?
These are questions that are keeping me busy daily. Appearance, body weight, looks is a hot topic. No wonder since media like social media and (fashion) magazines indoctrinate women with a picture perfect about what a women should look like. Women are tent do incorporate this as a daily practise, also in how to communicate with one another. This does not foster self-confidence and acceptance. Which sometimes even leads to unhealthy behavior such as extreme dieting and eating disorders.
